The restaurant that introduced sushi to Pittsburgh in 1983 is named KIKU, the Japanese word for chrysanthemum. This beautiful flower that exists in a variety of colors & shape came to Japan through Chinese silk traders. The chrysanthemum has become such a part of Japanese culture that it has its own month - November - when its beauty is celebrated in festivals throughout the country. 日本人のシェフが創り出す、本格的な日本料理。私共は、もともと"すし源”として東京都で始まりました。そして当店のオーナーがここアメリカでより多くの人に日本の伝統や文化を知ってもらいたいとピッツバーグに１９８３年(昭和58年）に【菊ジャパニーズレストラン】を情熱を持ってオープンさせました。
